Finally

I have been trying for several days to post to this blog. I FINALLY did it!

Logan is staying with us this week. I hope to post some pitures soon.

One more thing...for some reason I can't figure out how to change my background. So for now you will have to look at a Christmas background.

Girls' Night Out

Before Christmas, a group of ladies from church went to Santa Land. We had a great time. After visiting Santa Land we went shopping at Cracker Barrel. I so enjoy being with my church girlfriends...they are the best!

Merry Christmas

I hope all of my family and friends had a Merry Christmas. If you have not done so yet, please stop and take a few moments to remember the true meaning of the season. Each of us is so blessed and we need to take the time each day to thank our wonderful Saviour for our many blessings.

I will try to post some pictures this week while I am out for Christmas break. I can tell you know that there are no pictures of Logan in red overalls. He would have no part of that.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Logan's Red Overalls

I love Logan's red overalls but he is not too crazy about them. He does not like to dress up. He would rather wear pants with elastic in the waist and a t-shirt. I had the chance to take pictures of him after church. He is standing by the tree at his house. I hope he will wear them again on Christmas Eve but I am not holding my breath.

Long Overdue

Well, this post is long overdue. I always feel that I do not have anything very exciting to post and I talk myself out of it. So I am going to try and do better.

During the Thanksgiving Holidays, Amy, Jonathan and Logan came for a visit. They could not be with us for Thanksgiving Day but they did come the weekend before. Last year during the Thanksgiving Holidays we took Logan to the Caldwell Zoo. We did the same thing this year. I am hoping this will become a Thanksgiving tradition. Logan loves the zoo and Tyler has the best zoo.

I'm Finished!

Thanks to Faith, Family and Friends I have just completed my degree in Educational Administration. All I have to do now is take the principal exam (and pass it) and I will be a certified principal. I appreciate all the support I have received the past eighteen months, especially from my family. Maybe now I can start keeping up with this blog.

Faith Challenge

Today's Faith Challenge is "Embracing Your Calling". That is my reason for doing this challenge. I want to discover my calling. Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

If God knows the plan, when is he going to let me know? Has he already told me the plan and I am ignoring it? I hope not. As I continue this challenge I will be praying scripture. My prayers will include Jeremiah 29:11, John 15:16, and Galatians 1:15.

Have you ever read The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson? I have read the book twice and each time I have read it, a calming peace came over my life. I am going to begin reading it again tonight. It is a short, easy read. There are seven chapters so you could read a chapter a night and have a weeks worth of devotionals.

I will say that since I have begun this challenge my life has been calm and I have done a much better job of expressing my faith just through my actions. Hey, maybe that is one of my callings.

I pray that I will be a good Christian example to my students and co-workers. I know that it is a blessing to be with them each day. I am so lucky to work in a loving, Christian environment. I pray that I will be a blessing to each one of them.

Well, it is time to get off the computer, go read my devotional, and get to sleep so I can greet the world with a smile on my face in the morning.

Blessing,
Diane
